Rhythm, Resonance, Reference, Removal and Refrain 2015

The work was created with the themes of sound and painting relationships in mind. The musical terms included in the title have been a central concern of my painting and sound installations for the last two decades. Building on histories of abstraction and visual music, this ensemble of paintings seeks to create a visual and temporal oscillation of rhythm and energy.
